When we lived in the Chicago area, we walked our dog in temps as low as -20f. We wore snowmobile suits and found that we had to unzip the sides to keep from overheating! Mittens are warmer than gloves. The only problems were keeping our feet warm, and keeping our breath from fogging our glasses. The dog's paws would become packed with snow and we'd have to stop and help her dig the stuff out from between her toes. How long will you be in Antarctica?
